1. Matthew is a huge rugby league fan and has 28 NRL cards. One quarter of them are Melbourne Storm cards. How many of them are Melbourne Storm cards?

STRATEGY:

28÷4=7

7x1=7

SOLUTION SENTENCE:

There are 7 Melbourne Storm  Cards

2. In Mark’s class there are 18 children. ⅓ of them are boys. How many boys are in Mark’s class?

STRATEGY:

18÷3=6

6x1=6

SOLUTION SENTENCE:

There are 6 children in Mark’s  class
