Going To Pt. England To See The Hokulea!!!! :3

image16.jpeg

Today was a really fun productive day! We went to Pt. England Reserve to see the Hokulea. I was very overwhelmed. Before we got to the Pt. England Reserve the seniors have to walk because there was only one bus. The juniors went inside the bus. When I found out we have to walk. I got really angry.

Why I got angry? Because we have to walk, I am not fit at all. Room 1, 3 and 4 went inside the bus and room 5, 6 and 7 walked to Pt. England. It was very hard. I was so tired, I hate walking. It was a long walk. When we got there, there were heaps of childrens and different schools. Luckily enough we get to meet the navigators of the Hokulea. We all hi-fived them.

It was very beautiful. People were singing and there were speeches. Too bad it finished. When the ceremony finished we all stood up and get to meet the navigators of the Hokulea. After that we all sat down and divided the class. This time it was room 5, 3, 4 and 1 that get to go on the bus while room 6 and 7 have to walk.
We were walking half way through the park until Mr Gaffney came running down to us. We all stopped and wondered why is he here. He told us that there was a bus for us. We were happy. We were jumping around. Then we walked to the bus, sat on the seats and enjoyed the ride. When we arrived at school it was morning tea. I was so tired, so I slept. But I didn't sleep for the whole day. What a fun productive day!

Hokulea

11.03.15 Hokulea 40 Birthday

It was March 8, 1975. The Hokulea was born! (Hokulea means “Star of Gladness.”) Between 1975-2000, Hokulea sailed on six major voyages from Hawai’i. It was Hokulea 40th birthday.
